Richard Senate is a household name when it comes to all things spooky, ghostly, and paranormal. A world-renowned paranormal investigator and ghost storyteller, Richard Senate keeps history alive with ghost stories and tours during this Halloween season. 

Downtown Ghost Walk tours, Mysterious Main Street tours, Ghost Hunting at Olivas Adobe tours, and more are offered during the season through the City of Ventura Parks & Recreation Department. To sign up for a haunted Halloween tour, visit the City’s site

If you’re looking to go on your own ghost hunting tour, there are plenty of sites in Ventura that have been reported as haunted…

Ventura’s City Hall is reportedly haunted by Elizabeth “Ma Duncan,” the last woman sentenced to death in California. She haunts the courtroom that sealed her fate back in 1959.

People have reported seeing two ghosts at Olivas Adobe, a historical early California hacienda. A woman in a black dress haunts the second floor of the house while a ghost girl haunts the land as well. 

The Pierpont Inn is also said to be haunted by ghosts in the old dining room.
