It’s a countdown to X Games Ventura 2024! Get ready for an action-packed summer as athletes soar over your head and defy gravity. The best part? It’ll be an epic event with an ocean view. X Games Ventura, coming to our beach town June 28 – June 30 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, will feature an even larger venue, more view options, and a ton of family-friendly fun. 

So grab your crew and head to Ventura for a beach vacation! 

If you’re wondering how to get to X Games Ventura via taking the train or if you’re wondering if there will be free shuttles to get to X Games, we’ve got you covered. While there will be no onsite parking for X Games Ventura, there are plenty of accessible and affordable transportation options that will get you to all the action.

How to Get to X Games Ventura: Taking the Train

Hop on the rails and take the train to X Games Ventura. We’re partnering with Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink to get you to the doorsteps of X Games! Here’s how to get to X Games Ventura riding the rails:

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Jump on the Pacific Surfliner and skip the traffic! Not only is the view along the way gorgeous (hello ocean views!) but there is also a train market cafe where you can purchase small snacks and beverages during your trip, making it a truly relaxing travel experience. Looking for more reasons why you should take Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to X Games Ventura? There’s plenty. 

The Pacific Surfliner is expanding its service for the X Games weekend so fans can get there early and stay late for all the fun. A special schedule is in place with two extra daily train trips to Ventura from June 28 – June 30. Space is limited so make sure you get your train ticket now

Metrolink 

7 Reasons to take Metrolink to Visit Ventura

Wondering how to get to X Games Ventura on Metrolink? Coming to Ventura from Southern California? No problem. Avoid the freeways and get on Metrolink — they’ve added a stop right at the Ventura County Fairgrounds on June 29 and June 30, making it easier than ever to get to the X Games.

Utilize their $10 Weekend Day Pass on Saturdays and Sundays, allowing for unlimited rides system-wide on the date of purchase. And even better yet? Riders 17 years and younger ride FREE with a fare-paying adult. Students enrolled in participating local colleges and universities can ride FREE with Metrolink’s Student Adventure Pass.

Taking a Shuttle to X Games Ventura

The City is once again offering FREE shuttle services at the following locations: 

  1. Ventura County Government Center (Lots E & F)
  2. Pacific View Mall (Park Behind Sears)
  3. State Beach Parking Lot**
  4. De Anza Middle School
  5. Oxnard High School

**State Beach Parking Lot is PAID parking ($10), shuttle transportation to X Games is FREE**

Ride Your Bike or Skate to X Games Ventura

This year’s bike valet at X Games will be three times larger than last year’s! So get those two wheels moving and bike to X Games Ventura. This FREE, first come first serve bike valet parking is provided by Bike Ventura and offers a great way to get to the X Games. 

X Games is also offering a Skate check provided by Revolution Skate Shop. Both are located at the main entrance in Lot A. 

Taking a Bus to X Games Ventura

Last but not least, if you’re wondering how to get to X Games Ventura, you can ride the bus to the X Games! Two public bus operators, Gold Coast Transit and VCTC Big Blue Busses will get you to Downtown Ventura, just a few blocks away from X Games Ventura! 

Ticket fares for Gold Coast Transit buses are $1.75 per ride on the day of travel via the VCbuspass app. Jump on Route 6 or Route 16 from the Ventura Transit Center at the Pacific View Mall (parking at the mall is FREE). 

Ticket fares for the VCTC Big Blue Buses are as low as $1.75 per ride. The Big Blue Buses run service from as far south as Thousand Oaks and as far north as UC Santa Barbara and Goleta to Ventura. Plus, during the X Games, Highway 101 and 126 routes will be extended to Thompson Boulevard and Figueroa Street — just blocks from X Games Ventura.
