by Visit Ventura
ArtWalk Ventura is back in downtown Ventura on Oct. 1-2, 2016
Admission is free!
Entering its 24th year, Artwalk Ventura is a totally-fun, virtually-free, self-guided tour of dozens of galleries, studios, pop-up venues and transformed PODS Containers in Ventura’s Westside Cultural District and historic Downtown.
One of Ventura’s signature events, which draws thousands of people every year, it is now being run by an all-volunteer group who are determined to keep it fresh and festive.
If you love art, you won’t want to miss ArtWalk Ventura 2016. And our new dates return the event to fall, when Ventura’s weather is perfect.
Don’t forget to stop by Ventura Visitor Center to check out beautiful beach-inspired sand-glass art and photographs by Summer Vaughn.
My soul is solar powered. With every rising and setting of the sun, my heart heals, expands with love and compassion. ~ Summer Vaughn
Summer is a Ventura local & lifelong beachcomber, always a sun-chaser at heart. It was the ocean, the sunsets, the people & connection to the community that healed her during difficult times. With every walk along the shoreline her heart let go of pain while she appreciated the present moment and the beauty of the community. With every breathtaking sunset, her soul bubbled with excitement. With every serendipitous conversation with a stranger, her heart opened with compassion and love.
Through personal struggles that forced Summer to stop and take the time to heal her heart & body. Spending hours in the sunshine connecting once again with Mother Earth did more than just heal. It awoke a passion. A passion to follow what her heart has always known. Encouraged by her 90-year old, talented, artist Gramma Darling, Summer decided to live her dream.
And thus, Art by Summer was born. Don’t miss “Snapshots from a Sunchaser” at Ventura Visitor Center this weekend.
