El Nino is coming – Activities to keep the kids active!
El Nino is rapidly approaching, which means it’s time to plan indoor-friendly activities to keep your children busy. Although the rain is the perfect relief for our dry, California drought, it isn’t always the ideal weather to keep kids active and entertained, especially indoors. Keep the entire family busy with these fun, indoor activities in Ventura!
Sky Zone Ventura

Burn up to 1,000 calories an hour just by jumping—the perfect way to get kids active and having fun together as a family away from the TV screen or table. This location is the newest addition to Ventura’s entertainment scene, only arriving to the area early January 2016. Residents are invited to hop into Sky Zone Ventura to check out the wildly popular activity that has the whole country bouncing off the walls!
The Club House Fun Zone
Enjoy a tri-level clubhouse themed climbing structure with two large slides, a zig-zag step climb, teeter tunnel, snake pit and ball pit. The space also features a large collection of Children’s Factory soft play activity components and an inflatable bouncer as well as a variety of children’s toys. This destination is ideal for the little ones in your family.
This laid-back, fun and easy entertainment spot features 9 lanes of bowling and even a locally-sourced restaurant with California-cuisine. Keep the kiddos busy with multiple rounds of bowling, billiard tables and shuffleboard.
Museum of Ventura County
Time for an educational option! Inspire the kids to learn on their days off with exhibits for all ages. The museum hosts yearlong family events and celebrations that provide family-friendly activities that may include arts and crafts or live performances that relate directly to ongoing exhibits.
