People from all across the world travel to be the best and test their throwing skills at the Throw Down Cornhole Festival and Tournament. This three day tournament gives over a thousand teams the chance to win it big —  over $300,000 in guaranteed payouts is on the line.

The Throw Down Cornhole Festival and Tournament is happening right here in Ventura, California with our beautiful beach as the perfect backdrop. Head over to the Ventura County Fairgrounds for three days of music, fun, and entertainment.

Looking to explore a little more of Ventura while you’re in town? There’s a ton of things to do near the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Grab a pizza from Tony’s Pizzaria (just a short walk from the fairgrounds), head to the beach for a sunset walk, or walk to Main Street for happy hours at one of our craft cocktail bars or craft breweries. 

The Ventura Botanical Gardens offer breathtaking views of the city below and the blue Pacific Ocean beyond and is a fun family-friendly nature walk through different plants and flowers. 

When is the Throw Down Cornhole Festival and What is the Schedule? 

The Throw Down Cornhole Festival takes place August 22-24, 2025 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. This year, expect live music, axe throwing, celebrity guest appearances, an outdoor bar, a truck show, multiple vendors, the ultimate foodie experience, cold Drinks, and so much more.

Is There a Vintage Car and Truck Show This Year at the Throw Down Cornhole Festival? 

Short answer, yes! The Throw Down Cornhole Festival is excited to welcome back their Truck Show on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Truck clubs from around the state will display classic trucks from the 1960’s through the 1980’s. Vintage “square body” types like Chevrolet C10 pickups, Jeeps, Scouts, Suburbans, Ford Broncos, and Chevy Blazers will be the stars of the show.

Will There Be Music this Year at the Throw Down Cornhole Festival? 

Again, the short answer: yes! There will be live music all weekend long, all three days at the Throw Down Cornhole Festival. Starting at 7:30 PM on Friday, Dave Rea & DNA and Mandex will be performing while on Saturday and Sunday, live bands begin even earlier in the day at 4:00 PM and noon, respectively. DJs will be playing great music throughout the day.
