What’s New in Ventura, CA? New Events and Businesses You Have to Check out in February 2025

In Ventura, there’s always something new going on. Whether it’s a new business or fun events slated on the calendar, Ventura is the perfect place for adventurers looking for an unexpected and new path to follow. And to no one’s surprise, we love to keep you up to date on what’s new in Ventura. As we begin 2025, we welcome four new businesses in town. And we’ve added some events and new happenings to look forward to as well!

Night Owl Ciderworks 

Please join us in welcoming Night Owl Ciderworks to the neighborhood! The only cider taproom on Main Street, Night Owl Ciderworks creates award-winning ciders for sophisticated palettes.

From their cocktail-inspired ciders and their exotic fruit ciders to their Night Owl Sound Lab ciders, Night Owl marries all-natural ingredients with imagination to make ciders that everyone will enjoy. The best part? Everything is handmade right here in Ventura. You can order flights and glasses, or get your favorite flavors in a to-go can. 

When you walk into Night Owl, you feel at home. Sit for a spell and play some board games and stop in during the week and weekend for one of their events happening — they have a full event calendar to keep you busy. Make sure to check out what’s going on here.

Muni Wines Ventura

Muni Wines

Muni Wine is now in Ventura! Known for its vibrant, unpretentious wines and community-driven vibe, the new tasting room on Ventura Avenue will focus on Muni Wines, along with natural Nowadays Wines, single-vineyard Potek Wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, plus fresh wines on tap, cider, and piquette. 

Expect a laid-back atmosphere with DIY cheese & charcuterie boards, rotating food pop-ups, live music, and creative collaborations.

Check Muni out during their grand opening Valentine’s Day weekend (Feb 14-16, 2025), and come experience great wine, good company, and a welcoming space made for locals.

Varsity Club Ventura

A restaurant and sports experience for all ages! Sip on a drink from the bar, grab a bite, and swing on a golf simulator, or take a hit at a HitTrax Suite at Ventura’s newest dine-and-play experience. 

Varsity Club has a top-of-the-line Full Swing golf simulator, HitTrax batting bay suites, and a full bar and restaurant to keep you fueled up for the games. 

Whether you’re planning a birthday party, a bachelor’s party, or hosting a corporate or family reunion, Varsity Club is the perfect spot to gather together for some fun and great food. 

Walk-ins are accepted but advanced reservations are recommended.

A new addition to Main Street in Downtown Ventura is The Yard Bar & Grill, the latest venture from the team behind Cronies Sports Grill. Taking a fresh, modern spin on American comfort cuisine that honors the spirit of Cronies, expect every aspect of your meal to be delicious.
