Looking for a new cycling adventure in Ventura? How does cruising along the beach with the ocean breeze blowing through your hair sound? The next cycling ride you have to check out is the Bike MS Coastal Challenge along the Southern California coast from Santa Monica to Ventura.

Start your adventure on June 1 and end right here in Ventura on June 2. You’re guaranteed to have an amazing time — here are the top five reasons you should join our ride this June!

1. We Have the Best Ride with Even Better Views

Bike MS is the largest charity cycling series and ranks among the top 10 fundraising events in the country! When you ride with us, you’ll be among some of the most dedicated cyclists in the United States. From Santa Monica all the way to Ventura and beyond, you’ll be taking in coastal views and the beautiful hills of Southern California.

2. There are Route Options for Every Type of Rider

No matter what you’re looking for, we have a route that will fit your style of cycling. On Day one, you can go with our most popular option – and the best choice for intermediate riders – and choose the 60-mile route or rise to the challenge and take on the 100-mile route.

If you are looking for a slower pace, on both Day One and Day Two will have a flat 30-mile option that will be exclusively on closed bike paths, as well as a 50-mile option all through Ojai Valley. Whatever route you pick, you are sure to have the adventure of a lifetime.

3. We Have the Best Support on the Roads

Safety is our number one priority at Bike MS. Along with making sure every cyclist is up to date with local safety guidelines, we also provide major support throughout the event.

During the event, we will have SAG vehicles on the road, as well as bike mechanics to help with any bike-related issues. We also will have rest stops every eight to 12 miles and certified medical personnel at the event to make sure you have a safe ride.

4. You’ll Be Supporting the National MS Society

Nearly one million people in the US are living with the challenges and uncertainty of Multiple sclerosis (MS). The funds you raise through Bike MS fuel the life-changing programs and services the National MS Society provides, so we can be there for people affected by MS when they need us most.

MS is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS is different for everyone, and that makes it challenging to cure.

Creating a world free of MS will take all of us and when you join Bike MS, you’ll know you’re doing your part to help.

5. We Have Some New Things Up Our Sleeve

We know sometimes a weekend-long ride can be a lot, that’s why we are going to make things a little easier. This year, for the first time, we are working with Metrolink Trains to provide free rides throughout the event weekend from Santa Monica to Ventura. We will also have low-priced bus tickets for additional transportation needs.

We are making changes to our post-ride party too adding a lot of fun games, food, and prizes! You can bring your family and friends along!

Need a place to stay? We have that covered as well. Camping will be available for free, along with low-priced room blocks with local hotels in Ventura.
