5. Marina Park
- Dog friendly beach
- Large grass park with grills & picnic tables
- Views of the marina and incoming/outgoing boats at the harbor mouth

- Great for beach strolls (connects to over 3 miles of sandy beach!)

4. San Buenaventura Mission & Gardens
- One of two missions in California that are located downtown
- One of the only missions to have wooden bells (still featured in their museum along with the mission’s original doors!)
- Last mission founded by Saint Junipero Serra who was canonized by Pope Francis in fall 2015
- Known for beautiful mission gardens
- It’s twin 120-foot Norfolk pine trees were designated California Millennium landmark trees
- Extend your adventure by visiting Ventura County Museum, and the historic and archaeological sites that surround the mission
3. Bike Paths
- Start from San Buenaventura State Beach Park
- Short ride suitable for beginners: Promenade bike path to downtown Ventura (approximately 2 miles alongside the beach)
- Mostly flat ride suitable for day trips: Coastal pike path to Santa Barbara approximately (32 miles alongside historic Highway 1)
- Slightly challenging climb suitable for day’s workout: Ventura River Trail & Ojai Valley Trail bike paths approximately 15 miles alongside route 33
- Many cyclists stop in Ventura on trips between Los Angeles and San Francisco to take advantage of our great weather year-round
- Upgrades to our bike paths mean cyclists are protected from traffic

- Shuck your own fresh, local and sustainably farmed oysters beachside
- Unique foodie experience with grills and picnic tables by the beach

- Amazing viewpoints where you can see downtown Ventura, the coast, the Channel Islands, and sunsets on the water
- Ventura Botanical Gardens sit above historic City Hall and lead to Serra Cross at Grant Park
