Sea
Spend the day kayaking or paddle boarding around the harbor because there is indeed nothing better than messing about in boats (your kids will never forget). Head out to the islands of Channel Islands National Park — dubbed “the Galapagos of North America” — aboard an Island Packers Cruises boat and see sights you’ve likely never seen. Head to the Channel Islands National Park Visitors Center for a preview (exhibits and a film).
Savor
Ventura Harbor Village swims (sorry) with fresh-off-the-boat seafood, unique cuisine, local beers and wines, and, not to be neglected, sweets from the likes of Coastal Cone, home to the most creative ice cream concoctions you ever met. Brophy Brothers Restaurant & Clam Bar has a great view of the harbor. You won’t find better clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl than Andria’s Seafood Restaurant, family-run since 1982.
Shop
Looking for something special to remember your magical trip? Small boutiques, gift shops, and art galleries fill the harbor, offering rare finds and something for everybody. Trendy outfits, stylish bikinis (Ventura Swimwear), more hats than you can imagine (Hats Unlimited), original artwork, and childhood fun (for everyone) at the Village Carousel & Arcade. Celebrate by making your own chocolate at Top This Chocolate.
Annual festivities you can plan for
There’s always something new and fun going on at Ventura Harbor Village, and that includes a host of smile-inducing events. Pirate celebrations, chalk art, holiday celebrations, music by the water, and mermaid festivals are just a few of the festivities. Check out the Ventura Harbor Village website to see what fun they’ve cooked up.
Whale Watching
It’s world-class whale watching, without a doubt. You never know what you’ll see in the waters off Ventura…

UNPLUGGED & UNLEASHED
Why come to Ventura Harbor? Well, now you have a good idea. But the best reason may be the simplest. Being by the water is special. Soothing and peaceful; we can all use some still waters in our life. So come sea the beauty…
