Multiple Local Businesses And Vendors Will Be Onsite At The X Games Venue This Year, Boosting Local Community Involvement And Economic Impact

Ventura, Calif. (June 21, 2024) — Visit Ventura is proud to announce that this year’s X Games celebrates local in even bigger ways than last year, with multiple local businesses, vendors, and contractors involved in the world’s leading action sports competition.
Local businesses including Spencer Makenzie’s, Happy Place Eatery, and Rocket Fizz will be food vendor onsite at the X Games venue, giving thousands of fans the opportunity to taste local Ventura favorites. Over 20 local businesses doing specialty X Games offerings will be featured in the X Games Ventura spectator guide given to every event attendee.
Local integration and support in this year’s event takes many forms. From contracting with Ventura-based labor crew I Am The Phoenix Labor and Production to teaming up with local PR representatives for regional marketing efforts, Ventura businesses are working behind the scenes to put on X Games Ventura. Bike Ventura and Revolution Skateshop are once again running the free, first-come-first-serve bike and skateboard check at the venue.

Ventura’s community and businesses are rolling out the red carpet with a full week of fun. The community celebrations to kick off X Games Ventura (June 28-June 30) start tomorrow at Portside Ventura Harbor.

- Saturday, June 22: Portside Ventura Harbor XTREME MARKET — Join in the fun! Vibrant vendors market, exciting ticket giveaways, live art, and family-friendly activities.
- Sunday, June 23: Barrelhouse 101 Local X Game Beer Series Kickoff — Sip on this year’s specialty beer lineup celebrating X Games Ventura. Eight local breweries have crafted unique brews, blending Ventura and X Games’s shared spirit and ethos. Pick up a brew punch card from Barrelhouse 101; try all eight brews and be entered to win an epic local swag bag.
- Monday, June 24: Ventura Land Trust and Surfrider Clean Up — X Games crew teams up with Ventura Land Trust and Surfrider to clean up the community in two separate events on Monday.
- Tuesday, June 25: X Games Kick Off Cornhole Tourney — Hosted by Totally Local VC, Winchesters Grill and Saloon and Surf Rodeo, fans can get in X Games mode in a truly Ventura fashion.
- Wednesday, June 26: Ventura Harbor Village Seaside Summer Kickoff — Waterfront Wednesdays at the Ventura Harbor kick off with a special X Games celebration. Fans and visitors can spend the afternoon harborside with an X Games ticket giveaway, Big Lawn Concert, and to end the evening, the FIRST-EVER Visit Ventura Drone Show at the Ventura Harbor.
- Wednesday, June 26: EXtreme Boogie Night — Get moving for X Games Ventura in this special week of Boogie Nights, a weekly 5k run along the beautiful Ventura Promenade.
- Wednesday, June 26: Ventura Roller Disco — Tap into the nostalgia under a dazzling disco ball at Ventura’s FIRST-EVER Roller Disco, presented by Ventura Coast Brewing Company. Bring your skates or rent onsite for an introduction to skates workshop, a guided dance lesson, live DJ sets, skate community vendors, and more.
- Thursday, June 27: Ventura Skate Jam — Downtown Ventura and the City of Ventura Present the second annual, all-ages free Ventura Skate Jam to kick off X Games Ventura. Local skate shop BlackHole Skate Shop will host and bring the set up for both young and old to show their skills on the ramps. Young skaters can join in on the fun at Skate & Create, taking place during the Skate Jam, where they can skate a mini park, make their own t-shirts, and more.
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: Visit Ventura Drone Show — Visit Ventura is proud to announce the return of the Visit Ventura Drone Show, an eco-friendly display of 500 drones to celebrate X Games Ventura. Two shows have been added this year making a total of five shows to dazzle and delight. See the full schedule.
“The Visit Ventura Drone Show will be a fantastic kickoff to the summer season here at Ventura Harbor,” said Brian Pendleton, the Port District’s General Manager. “It will draw visitors to Ventura Harbor midweek in support of our local merchants including restaurant, retail, entertainment, and boating, and will also showcase Ventura Harbor Village as the vibrant seaside shopping destination it is.”
