WOMEN’S RACE START AND FINISH & MEN’S STAGE FIVE FINISH IN MAY 2019
Ventura, Calif. — The City of Ventura is proud to be the host city for the Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race Start and Finish on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Ventura will also be the Men’s Stage Five Finish of the 14th annual Amgen Tour of California on May 16, 2019. The premier cycling race will take place May 12-18, 2019, during which the world’s best cyclists will compete for 750+ miles along roadways, highways, and coastlines making up the seven-stage race from Sacramento to Pasadena.
The annual Amgen Tour of California carries the distinction of being the only U.S. men’s and women’s races on the UCI WorldTour calendar and have helped launch some of today’s best known and most decorated international cyclists as well as continuing to attract the most talented competitors and teams in the world. With seven new courses between them, the event’s legacy as an international platform for both men’s and women’s racing will hold a special significance this year as Olympic hopefuls gear up for Tokyo 2020.
