Ventura, Calif. (June 8, 2026) — Visit Ventura is proud to announce that it has been ranked by the Pacific Coast Business Times as one of the Best Places to Work in the Central Coast for the third consecutive year and seventh time overall.
The publication ranks businesses each year through a survey that anyone in the region can take, measuring workplace culture, benefits, perks, community involvement, and more. Almost 1,200 people took the 2026 survey with jobs based in the region.
A mighty team of six full-time employees, four part-time employees, and 22 friendly Visitor Center volunteers make up the non-profit organization, serving the local community and visitors who enjoy the beach town community.
“This recognition means so much because it comes directly from our team,” said Marlyss Auster, President and CEO of Visit Ventura. “We share a genuine love for Ventura, and for the work we do every day. Being recognized as one of the Best Places to Work on the Central Coast is a reflection of the culture we’ve built together and the incredible people who make Visit Ventura such a special place.”
The team’s genuine passion for their hometown is showcased through every social media post, print ad, public relations effort, and marketing campaign. While many destination marketing organizations may utilize agencies for their content creation or public relations strategy, Visit Ventura keeps its work completely in-house. The reason is simple: no one knows Ventura better than those who live, breathe, and work in the community that they’re serving.
This recognition reflects the culture Visit Ventura works to foster every day, rooted in creativity, collaboration, and most of all, hometown pride.
