With a long line of people waiting to get into the redesigned Museum of Ventura County, interim Executive Director Elena Brokaw kept her opening remarks short at the official reopening Sunday.
Brokaw said she was surprised and pleased to see the crowd of hundreds of people that extended through the museum’s parking lot.
“I’m surprised and I’m ecstatic. But I’m also kind of not surprised. We’re very proud of what we’ve done, and we want to share it with the community,” Brokaw said. “This is a really, really big deal.”
