January 26, 2024 (Ventura, Calif.) — Visit Ventura announced today in partnership with X Games, the leading action sports content provider and event producer, that the summer games are returning to Ventura’s coastline this June. X Games Ventura 2024 will once again dare the world’s leading extreme athletes to fly to new heights and break records, all backed by Ventura’s beaches.
“To say we’re stoked is an understatement,” said Marlyss Auster, President and CEO of Visit Ventura. “We’re still beaming with hometown pride with what took place in our Ventura last year. We’re excited to make this summer even better, all led by the newly appointed Salema Masekela, Director of Culture. We’re ready to see athletes break more records and do it all by the beach with our coastline as the perfect backdrop. We’re stoked — let’s do this!”
X Games California 2023 saw over $58 MILLION in media value, in addition to record-breaking attendance numbers with a sold-out crowd, an unprecedented partnership that resulted in two Pacific Surfliner train cars wrapped in X Games creative for the first time, and the competition’s first Chumash blessing in front of athletes and media among other milestones.
Visit Ventura is excited to work with the X Games team to make X Games Ventura 2024 even better this year, building on accomplishments from 2023.
