Witches Paddle 2025

Gather your witches’ attire and join us for the Ventura Harbor Witches Paddle on Friday, October 24th, at 4:00 PM! Paddle through the harbor in your best witchy gear, whether you bring your own board or kayak, or rent one from Ventura Boat Rentals for a spellbinding Halloween experience on the water.

Now in its 7th year, this magical tradition—originally started by locals Christie Moorehouse and Susan Stuart—has grown into a mesmerizing event, attracting over 60 witches, warlocks, and plenty of onlookers.

Be sure to arrive early if you’re renting a paddleboard or kayak, as rentals are limited! Gather for a group photo at 3:30 PM on the promenade near the Ventura Harbor Sign, then get ready for a 1 to 1.5-hour group paddle, starting at 4:00 PM. If you are launching your own, launch site options around the Harbor include “C” Dock in the Village’s courtesy area, Harbor Cove Beach, or the public launch ramp.

Remember, safety is a priority—wear your life vest, paddle at your own risk, and always have a buddy!
