Season opener!

Prepare to be swept away by the majestic power of the pipe organ as it fills the concert hall with its thunderous, glorious sound! David Wheatley, award-winning organist, pianist and composer based in Los Angeles, will be performing Poulenc’s Organ Concerto, accompanied by timpani and strings. CHICO’s opening concert of their 22nd season will also include Mendelssohn’s famous incidental music for Shakespeare’s play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The entire orchestra will accompany a quartet to present Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante.
