We’re so pleased to welcome local author Mona Alvarado Frazier back to the shop for a discussion of her new young adult novel, A Bridge Home (available May 31st)! She’ll be joined in conversation by professor and author Dr. Silvia Rodriguez Vega.

Jacqueline Bravo faces financial hardship and the threat of expulsion from her Catholic school. But when she gets pulled into a mystery involving the restaurant’s questionable activities, Jacqueline must navigate school, work, and new friendships while uncovering the truth. Set in the 1970s, this engaging novel explores themes of family, friendship, and the fight for equality, urging readers to believe in themselves and their community.
