SurfAid Cup ventura
The SurfAid team are proud to announce the SurfAid Cup will be making its way to C St. for the first time in 2024 to raise vital funds for SurfAid’s life-changing health programs. The first annual fundraising event is set to take place on Friday, October 25th and will be a fun-filled day of swell. Teams are expected to join from around the country and expressions of interest are now open. You can download more information at:
The surf competition will be held at the C St. point break and surfers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part. Each of the teams will be made up of four surfers, and an experienced panel of judges will be overseeing the competition. Adding to the excitement of the event, the top fundraising teams get first picks from an impressive line-up of pros and local legends (provided by SurfAid) as their team's fifth member.
"By surfing in the SurfAid Cup Ventura not only will you have an epic day of waves with your closest surf buddies, you’ll also directly be improving the health and livelihoods of people living in remote communities in Indonesia and Solomon Islands. Your one day of surfing will have a lasting impact," says SurfAid USA Board President Stuart Gasner.
The SurfAid Cup Ventura will be a chance to surf one of Santa Barbara County’s most famous breaks while making a positive contribution to the lives of those in remote communities across Indonesia and the Pacific. Together, we are aiming to raise $50,000 which will go directly to funding health programs for remote villages connected to us through surfing.
In this tag-team, relay-style competition, teams will raise funds for SurfAid's programs, enjoy beachside camaraderie, and compete for various awards (surfing and fundraising).
Get ready to surf one of the world’s best, all while supporting SurfAid’s mission to improve the health, well-being and resilience of families in the heartlands of surfing.

About SurfAid
SurfAid is a humanitarian organization whose aim is to improve the lives of women and children in remote areas connected to us through surfing.
Started by a group of concerned surfers in 2000 who were struck by the needless suffering and preventable death in the Mentawai Islands, SurfAid works hand-in-hand with the communities of Indonesia and the Pacific to bring about sustainable health change while respecting the unique culture and customs of these island communities.
For over 20 years SurfAid’s programs have been saving lives by ensuring remote communities have access to clean water and sanitation, basic healthcare, and improved nutrition.
Today, 100% of SurfAid in-country program staff are Indonesian, helping to develop programs to support long term behaviors and achieve health and resilience for people in remote communities.
