Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Thomas Fire.

Although the Thomas Fire continues to grow to the northwest and east, the City of Ventura is away from any active fire lines and has begun a transition toward recovery. Mandatory evacuations and boil water advisories have been lifted in areas of the city that were not affected by the fire including Downtown, Ventura, and the coastline. Most businesses are open around town and eager for local support to recover from a devastating week.

Please note that the Ventura Police Department will not enforce meter parking regulations in Downtown Ventura until January 2, 2018. Drivers are not required to pay the meter fee at the time of parking.

We invite you to support your favorite local businesses now more than ever keeping a few things in mind. Be mindful of any emergency personnel in the area and any air quality advisories in effect. Remember that damage assessments are ongoing and authorities still need your patience and cooperation. Please follow their instructions.
